Consumables Judgment Criteria for Barcode Machines

With the development of the market, the barcode industry is becoming more and more popular, and there are more and more types of labels. Some labels can only be printed, and some labels can be printed with a label printer. So how do you determine whether your labels can be printed with a printer?

First of all, let's understand how the printer senses the paper? At present, label printer sensors are mainly divided into two types, one is a penetrating sensor and the other is a reflective sensor.

Penetrating sensor:

The penetrating sensor is also the radiation source, that is, the infrared transmitter emits a beam. The radiation sensor above mainly receives the beam. When the label passes through, the beam penetrates

Reflective sensor

The principle of the reflective sensor is the same as that of the penetrating sensor, and the distance is judged by the amount of light received.

First, the distance

We need to observe whether the label has a similar spacing. The label has a backing paper. Generally, the backing paper on the market is mainly light blue and white. The backing paper is translucent and has strong light transmission. Some labels have backing paper. Too thick, too thick will affect the light transmittance, which may lead to printing errors such as paper skipping. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the thickness and light transmittance of the customer's backing paper to ensure that the light beam emitted by the sensor can easily penetrate the backing paper.

There is also a type of spacing with holes, that is, labels with holes. If there is no spacing, the label holes can also be used for marking. For example, our hang tags are positioned by holes. Labels with holes must have the same size and position of the holes, and the holes cannot be blocked by foreign objects, otherwise the sensor will not be able to detect the distance.

Second, the black mark

Observe whether the label has a black mark. Generally, the black mark is on the back of the label. The width, distance and position of the black mark must be the same. We all know that the sensor determines where the distance is by the amount of light received, so the black mark The darker the color is, the better. If the color is too light, it will easily lead to the phenomenon of printing skipping and reporting errors.

Third, continuous paper

The continuous paper mode is mainly aimed at the induction mode of printing labels without any marks. When set to continuous mode, any label paper can be printed out, and the machine will not report errors, but the printing position cannot be controlled manually. , Therefore, it is generally used to print wash marks and receipt paper.

Note: Marks such as black marks, spacing and holes must be at the same distance and the same position and size. If one of them does not meet the requirements, the printed effect will skip the paper and report an error, and it cannot be printed normally.
