 After a long time of printing, the bar code printer prints the powder on the ribbon on the label paper by thermal transfer, and the print head is easy to stick to the powder on the ribbon. If it is not cleaned in time, over time, it will Various failures occur. The most common problems are: after the powder is pasted for a long time, the print head is hardened and worn, and the printed content has white lines, or the printing is blurred.

In order to avoid problems as much as possible, keep the print head clean after the usual printing is completed.

 

Step 1: remove the print head

Turn off the power of the printer (it is best to unplug the power cord), the print head will have a set of power cords and a set of data lines, first unplug the power cord, then unplug the data line, and start cleaning after the print head is placed for five minutes.

 

Step 2: Use cotton dipped in a little alcohol to clean the "black stripe" part of the print head, as shown in the red box in the figure below. Remember not to rub back and forth repeatedly. Clean and wipe down in one direction.

Step 3: After cleaning, let it sit for two minutes, and then install it. Install the data cable first, then the printhead power cable. Finish. Turn on the printer and start using it.

 

If you will not remove the print head, you can also shut it down and clean it directly after the print head has cooled down. If it is a thermal printer, it is even more necessary to shorten the time for cleaning and maintenance. It is recommended to print about a thousand labels, and it needs to be cleaned once. The specific situation depends on the actual use environment.
